This September, I’ll be taking part in the Tour Paramedic Ride in Prince Edward Island. This year’s ride carries even more meaning for me. It comes after the heartbreaking loss of two paramedics from PEI. Mike was a past colleague, friend, and one of the reasons why the memorial monument fund was established. We’ll ride in their memory, and in honour of every paramedic who has made the ultimate sacrifice while serving their communities. The Tour Paramedic Ride is more than a cycling event—it’s a chance for paramedics, families, friends, and supporters from across Canada to come together to remember those we’ve lost and support one another. Since it began, the ride has helped raise hundreds of thousands of dollars toward the creation of a Canadian National Paramedic Monument, a permanent place to honour fallen paramedics and recognize their service and sacrifice. Over the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing my fundraising page. Every dollar donated will help bring this national monument to life and ensure the legacy of our fallen colleagues is never forgotten. If you’re able to support the cause, I would be incredibly grateful. Whether it’s a donation or simply sharing this post, your support means a great deal. Thank you for helping us honour those who dedicated their lives to helping others.
