Thank you to everyone who is supporting me on my first Paramedic Ride!! Training for this ride has been more than a physical goal for me this year: Exercise has always been a pivotal role in supporting my mental health. After my PTSD diagnosis in May, there were days when it was hard to find the motivation to get off the couch. I had spent the past 4 years giving everything I could to helping others in my career, and it was time to help myself! I signed up for the Paramedic ride with only spin class experience, and committed myself to this 4-day journey. Training has been something I (mostly) look forward to, but being able to push myself in ways and going that extra mile has played a huge role to improving my mental health. This is your reminder that you can get through the hardest of times, even when the light seems unreachable. Love yourself, and never give up.
