Hello.
I will be participating in the Tour Paramedic Ride memorial bike ride taking place on Prince Edward Island this year. We will be riding approximately 300 kilometres over 3 days.
The reason for this Ride is twofold:
1) to remember those Canadian paramedics who have made the ultimate sacrifice to their communities; and,
2) to raise funds for the establishment of a national monument of remembrance for Canadian paramedics who have died in the line of duty.
Participation in this ride is personal for me. As a paramedic myself, I see the need to honour our fallen, and, unfortunately, a few of the names we remember each morning of the Ride were friends or former co-workers of mine.
If you are able, please help us move closer to our goal of one day seeing a national monument to the fallen established in our nation's capital. Thanks.
