Tour Paramedic Ride Ontario 2026

From Sep 18 to Sep 21 2026

Julie Colgan

This year, for the first time in 12 years, I will not be physically cycling in the Tour Paramedic Ride due to an injury. However, it is still an important cause that resignates close to my heart, being a Paramedic for 20 years. I dont need to bike to remember the courage, strength & honour of our fallen in line of duty members. I've met so many great people through these rides. Friendships that last for years through all of life's ups & downs both at work & outside of work. The Tour Paramedic Bike Rides are really my favorite time of year, I look forward to again & again. Even if Im just volunteering & eating lobster rolls this time. This year feels a bit different... a finish line to fundraise enough money and a renewed push to lobby government to help build the Canadian Paramedic Memorial Foundation monument. And then tragedy hits our neighbours at Island EMS where two paramedics lost their lives in the line of duty, adding to the list. One of those paramedics was planning the PEI ride with us, having discussed plans just a few days before his untimely death. A person always willing to volunteer his time for a good cause. Two ways to support: The link below will take you to the Tour Paramedic Ride fundraising page where you will get a tax receipt at the end of the year. You can purchase a challenge coin, specially designed for Mike and Jenna who lost their lives while at work. Those are $50 a piece with half going to the family and half going to the CPMF. Times are tough and you definitely don't need to donate, but any donation is appreciated :).
